Serious hail at Prahran. They're about 2cm wide. All happened in 10 minutes. I'm drenched.

when i first moved to Melbourne in early 2000, i was incredulous that we still needed the central heating on (admittedly sporadically) as late as a week before christmas. that was also the same year the drought was more or less officially regarded as 'happening'. never since then, that i recall at least, has november and december had such consistently 'bad' weather, especially after such a lovely October.
